Valentina Denuzzo

A cinematographer based in São Paulo, Brazil, she studied Cinematography at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York and later completed a documentary filmmaking course at EICTV, where she studied under renowned Italian filmmaker Gianfranco Rosi.

After returning to Brazil, she began working across commercials, documentaries, fashion films, and narrative shorts, developing a practice that has taken her throughout Brazil and into international collaborations. Her work spans a wide range of visual languages, always grounded in a strong sensitivity to character, atmosphere, and storytelling.

With an extensive background in narrative still photography, she brings a photographic and deeply observational approach to her cinematography. She is particularly drawn to narrative features and stories centered on character development, where visual language can become an essential part of the emotional world of the film.

Her commercial work includes collaborations with brands such as Coca-Cola, Google, and Meta. In documentary, she has worked with Discovery Channel, among others, and most recently photographed When the Money Arrives, a Brazil–Switzerland co-production.

She is a native Portuguese speaker and is fluent in English and Spanish.
